Real Good for Free: Freedom Park @ Scotia
No, Scotia’s Freedom Park doesn’t host the big name bands that Albany’s Alive @ Five concert series snags. But there’s no question that Scotia’s fabulous little park presents more free concerts than any other venue anywhere in Nippertown.
This summer in addition to a puppet show, and modern dance performance and a production of “Godspell,” Freedom Park is also presenting nearly 30 free pop and rock concerts.
It’s a great big stage. There’s wonderful amphitheater seating (and room to dance, too) for the audience. And it’s all right next door to Jumpin’ Jacks, one of Nippertown’s premiere summer destinations. What more could you ask for?
