Real Good for Free: Empire State Plaza Food Festival

Yeah, the NYS Office of General services has cut waaaaay back on their annual free summer concert series at the Empire State Plaza this year. And that’s certainly understandable (disappointing though it may be) in these economic hard times.

The annual Empire State Plaza Food Festival is one of the few shows that’s still on the schedule, however, which makes Wednesday, July 8 a great day to head over to the plaza to catch a bite to eat and an earful of great, free sounds.

Here’s the schedule:

11:30am: DJ Shawn Gillie
5pm: The Stray Dogs
6:15pm: Garland Nelson and Soul Session
7:20pm: Kyle Vincent
7:45pm: THE COWSILLS!!!
