Real Good for Free: Rosendale Street Festival, 7/18-19
One street.
Two days.
Five stages.
74 bands.
It’s the kind of thing that makes LarkFest look like amateur hour.
That’s right, this weekend’s Rosendale Street Festival is a free outdoor musical extravaganza of mindboggling proportions. It takes place beginning at 12noon on Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19 along Main St. in Rosendale, which is located between Kingston and New Paltz.
There are simply waaaay too many really fine bands and musicians on tap to go into much detail, but a few that look to be highlights are Deni Bonet (recently booted off of the opening act slot on Grace Potter & the Nocturnals’ Alive @ 5 concert), Ian Lloyd (the singer with Stories, who scored the No. 1 hit “Brother Louie” back in 1973), swirling world-beatsters Futu Futu and guitar wizard Joey Eppard.
