LIVE: The Eilen Jewell Band @ Shepard Park, 7/22
Americana-gone-alt-pop singer-songwriter Eilen Jewell led her band into Shepard Park on Wednesday, July 22, for a return engagement in Lake George.
The Boston-based Jewell and her band – the ace guitar veteran Jerry Miller, John Sciascia on bass and Jason Beek on drums – rolled into town in support of their album, “Sea of Tears,” and yes, it’s available on vinyl, too.
The band makes regular stops at Club Helsinki in Great Barrington, Mass., and earlier this year delivered a sold-out performance at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs. The last time they played in Lake George, however, rain forced the concert indoors at King Neptune’s, but on Wednesday, all was wonderful under the nighttime sky.
Next up on the free weekly Shepard Park concert schedule is the Jason Spooner 3 on Wednesday, July 29. The series is sponsored by the Lake George Arts Project.
