Moe. Better News
Jam band faves and one-time Nippertown locals moe. are headed back to their former hometown for one wailin’ Halloween party. Yes, the band that used to play at Bogie’s all the time is returning to Albany, but this time they’re playing at the Washington Avenue Armory.
On Halloween night – Saturday, October 31.
This, as they say, is gonna be one wild night.
Of course, if you can’t wait til then, the boys are also hosting their tenth annual moe.down Festival at the Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin, NY on Labor Day weekend, Friday-Sunday, September 4-6.
And, as usual, it’s a wildly eclectic, genre-busting fest featuring Cake, Umphrey’s McGee, Method Man & Redman, Ani DiFranco, Matthew Sweet, Sam Bush, the New Mastersounds, the reunion of Ominous Seapods, the Heavy Pets, Okemah, the Nate Wilson Group, the Family Groove Company, Lynch, My Dear Disco and the London Souls.
And oh yeah, moe. will be playing, too. A lot.
They tried to make this show happen in this room a few years ago.
But when you consider the 4 egos that were involved in that gig (Coyne, Bell, Millis and Ryan from the old Rev Hall), no wonder it blew up.
Notice how it suddenly got done with Jim C now gone from the Armory?
It should be a good one. Maybe there will be more just like it.
