Real Good for Free: Vik Muniz at Williams College, 10/1/09

Internationally acclaimed Brazilian-born artist Vik Muniz will deliver the annual Plonsker Family Lecture in Contemporary Art at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. at 7pm on Thursday, October 1.

Muniz works in a wide variety of unconventional materials. For instance, he has created two detailed replicas of Leonardo da Vinci’s famed “Mona Lisa” – one with jelly, the other with peanut butter. And he has reproduced da Vinci’s “Last Supper,” too – with chocolate syrup.

Muniz will speak about his art work and creative process at the Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall. Admission is free.
