Comin’ soon…
Late-breaking news!: The Neighborhoods – Boston post-punk power-popsters led by Dave Minehan – make a long overdue return to Nippertown on Saturday, December 5. Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany is the place. Also on the bill: The Charlie Watts Riots and John Powhida International Airport. Whoooo!
And speaking of bands from Boston: in support of his new solo album, “Have Guitar, Will Travel,” Aerosmith guitarslinger Joe Perry brings his other band, the Joe Perry Project, to Northern Lights in Clifton Park on Sunday, November 15. Tix go on sale at 10am tomorrow (Thursday, October 22).
Also, Clutch returns to Northern Lights on Tuesday, December 29, adding a bit of crunch to that week-long lull between Christmas and New Year’s. Joining in the festivities will be Doomriders, Lionize and Never Got Caught. Tix go on sale at 10am on Saturday (October 24).
On the Celtic tip, Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones offer up a rousing evening of music at the sixth annual Freedom For All Ireland Concert at the Albany Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall on Saturday, November 7.
CANCELLED: Journey tribute band Evolution was slated to play Revolution Hall back in July, but the band postponed at the last minute. They were re-scheduled for Saturday (October 24), but now that show has been cancelled, too.
