Help Berkshire Radio Stay on the Air

Paul Rapp just notified me that WBCR-lp is having their annual fund drive this week:

Our goal for the week is $14,000, but we could use a lot more. It costs around $50,000 to keep the station on the air, which isn’t a whole lot considering what we do for the community and the world.

It’s local. We’re your neighbors. We’re in our fifth year of broadcasting, bringing you shows about nutrition, the environment, history, comedy, politics, home building, computers, nutrition, auto repair, meditation, and healing. Shows created and hosted by kids. Spanish language programming, Saturday morning storytelling, live music, live interviews, and information about events in and around Berkshire County.

And a variety of music you simply can’t get anywhere else on earth. You might not like all of it, but if you tune in an hour later, you might hear something beautiful that you’ve never heard before. And that you won’t hear anywhere else for 100 miles around.

It would be great if you could give something tomorrow (Friday)–I’ll be at the station all day and probably will be answering the phone—-And will be on the air on and off, but definitely will be on during my regular slot between 3 and 4 PM.
