Art Attack!!!
Local historian, activist, author and man-about-town Don Rittner is dreaming big.
Of course, Art Night Schenectady takes place around town on the third Friday of each month – just like Albany hosts First Friday (first Friday of each month) and Troy welcomes Troy Night Out (last Friday of each month).
But Rittner wants something bigger than that for the Electric City. Not just a couple dozen artists. Not even a couple hundred artists. No, Rittner wants to see an arts celebration that brings together 1,000 artists from all over the Capital Region. Artists of all stripes, too – poets to painters, sculptors to storytellers, dancers, weavers, musicians and actors.
He’s calling it Schenectady Art Attack, and he wants it to happen all around Schenectady on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 & 21.
Of course, he can’t do it himself. He needs artists. Lots of ’em, obviously. If you’re interested, let him know at [email protected]
