“Home”: A Thank You From Around the World
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros are one of the big break-out acts of 2009, and their breakthrough song, “Home,” has been garnering plenty of attention and airplay from coast to coast, including right here in Nippertown at WEXT.
Back in July at the Los Angeles album release party for their debut “Up From Below,” Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros raised money for the Gulu Widows Group of Uganda. The women used the band’s donation to start a farm to help sustain their community.
Recently, the women celebrated their first harvest, and to show their appreciation to the band, they made this video of their own version of “Home”:
