Be Here Now: WGXC-FM New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball @ Basilica Industria

This just might be the wildest New Year’s Eve bash around, and the good news is that it’s also a benefit for the new community radio station, WGXC-FM.

For WGXC-FM’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball, Basilica Industria in Hudson is hosting the multi-stage New Year’s Eve happening with lots of live music, belly dancers, performance art, a burlesque revue and who knows what else. The celebration begins at 6pm Thursday and continues til 4am.

Advance tickets are available today online and in person at the Spotty Dog Books & Ale for $25. Tickets will $30 at the door.

Among the many featured performers are Lady Moon, M.A.S.S., Saber Coup, Bella’s Bartok, Abby Lappen, DJ Jackie Thomas, Mother Fletcher, Young Paris, Trixie (MC), Diata Diata, the Hudson City Ramblers, Evan Randall, the Magic Stranger, Rob Hervey, DJ Jim McCabe, Ryan Clover & astickandastone, the Bleeding Hearts, Liv Carrow, an aerial performance from Ryder Cooley, a Norman Douglas radio play and Alpha Psi Ecdysia Burlesque featuring Lucida Sans, Spartacus Rising, Gemma Stone and Angelique A’Lamode.

Beer, wine, food, coffee, tea, hot cider will be available for purchase. A champagne toast is included with the admission price.

Dress festive. Masks and/or costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory. Masks made by members of the community will also be on sale at the door.
