FESTIVAL: Albany Chefs’ Food & Wine Festival @ 16 downtown restaurants, Albany. The opening day of a three-day fest celebrating wine and the culinary magic of Albany’s innovative chefs, benefiting the Capital Repertory Theatre. 6-9pm. $50.

MUSIC: “Don’t Do Me Like That: A Tribute to Tom Petty” @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton, Mass. A whole mess o’ fine musicians – including Matthew Carefully (formerly known as Matthew Loiacono), Fancy Trash, Ray Mason, the Grownup Noise, Rusty Belle, Ben Demerath – pay homage to Petty’s music and raise funds for the Red Cross to aid victims of the recent Northampton fires. 7pm. $13.
