MUSIC: Lauren Ambrose & The Leisure Class @ The Lion’s Den, Stockbridge 8:30pm The Emmy-nominated actress best known for her work on “Six Feet Under” is also a classically trained opera singer, but here she’ll be vocalizing with her jazz combo in this warmup date for a show at Joe Pub in New York later this week.

FILM: “Glory” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The epic Civil War tale of the America’s first unit of black soldiers. Starring Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. 7pm. $5; children $3.
MUSIC: Ramblin Jug Stompers @ Tess’ Lark Tavern, Albany. The Jug Stompers celebrate their fourth anniversary of monthly third-Monday-of-the-month gigs at Tess’. Expect the musical chaos and merriment, as well as some special guests. 7pm. Free.
MUSIC: Martin Luther King Day @ Pointe of Praise Family Life Center, Kingston with Pete Seeger, Kim and Reggie Harris, Bill and Livia Vanaver and the Caravan Kids, The Ulster County Community Outreach Choir, The Woodstock Jewish Congregation Youth Choir and The New Progressive Baptist Church A Cappella Choir. Proceeds from the concert, whose theme is “ Journey to Freedom” will go to benefit the Save Them Now Community Re-Entry Program. Suggested minimum donation for tickets is $10. 3PM
