MUSIC/DANCE: “Cohoes Fest: A Cultural Variety Show” @ the Cohoes Music Hall, Cohoes. Singer-songwriter Frank Jaklitsch & Friends, the Spendwood School of Dance, the Boland School of Irish Dance and others perform a benefit show for the Vineyard Community Church in Cohoes. 7pm. $10; seniors free.
ART INSTALLATION: Peter Edwards’ “White Light” @ Gallery 111 in West Hall at RPI, Troy. Artist-musician Edwards of CasperLand exhibits his new interactive light and sound-scape. 6pm. Free.
MUSIC: Murali Coryell @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. His dad is jazz guitar great Larry Coryell, but Murali leans heavily toward the blues. He’s playing a solo acoustic solo in support of his new album, “Sugar Lips.” With Tequila Mockingbirds opening. 8pm. $18.
FILM/DISCUSSION: “Hannah Free” @ The Linda, Albany. Sharon Gless stars in a passionate lesbian drama about a lifelong love affair between an independent spirit and the woman she calls home. 6pm. $12.
