2/1/10: Today’s Tips: Monday

NOTE: Due to health reasons, the Jason Molina-Will Johnson tour, which was originally slated to make a stop at The Linda in Albany tonight, has been cancelled.

NOTE: Former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno’s performance, which was originally slated for Bogie’s in Albany tonight, has been indefinitely postponed.

FILM: “Titanic” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Poor “Titanic.” Knocked off the top of the all-time biggest grossing movie heap by its own director. It just doesn’t seem fair, does it? Re-live the glory days, when “Titanic” was still “King of the World.” 7pm. $5; children $3.

Let’s just hope that it doesn’t come to this:

MUSIC: Jim Gaudet & the Railroad Boys @ Tess’ Lark Tavern, Albany. Americana, bluegrass, folk with some wicked-good singing and picking. Their latest album is “So Far, So Good,” and yeah, they’re gettin’ better all the time. 7:15pm. Free.

MUSIC: Anti-Flag with Aiden, Cancer Bats, Star Fucking Hipsters, the Black Tie Operation @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. After a two-album flirtation with RCA Records, the Pittsburgh political punksters are back on familiar indie turf with “The People or the Gun,” and they’re bringing their “The Economy Sucks, Let’s Party” tour to town. 7pm. $17.

MUSIC: The Pain, Icarus Witch, Armor Column, Driven Further @ Bogie’s, Albany. Headliner Paul Di’Anno has cancelled his performance, but the rest of the show will go on. No Di’Anno, but no cover, either. 7:30pm. Free.
