ArtBeat: Calls For Entries

A feature film shooting in the the Capital District needs a talented youth gospel choir for a performance scene with the film’s star character. The chosen choir will also perform live during film benefit held next month. Choir must be local to the Capital District. Send performance videos to [email protected]. The Barrett Art Center Galleries in Poughkeepsie is accepting entries for their 23rd Annual National Juried Photography Exhibition, April 17 – May 15, 2010. Submission deadline is March 1, 2010.

Farm Film Fest III, originally scheduled for March 7, has been postponed due to the recent death of Crandall Theatre owner Tony Quirino. A new date will be announced later this year. However, they’re still seeking short films about farms, farming and/or the role farming plays in the local economy and food system. DVD entries should be 5 – 20 minutes long.
