PERFORMANCE: Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque @ Savannah’s, Albany. The monthly burlesque and vaudeville revue presents “The Hillbilly Red Carpet Jamboree,” a pre-Oscar party featuring emcee Mr. Guy Smiley, Scooter Pie as Fannie Mae, Madisin, Lillian Gash, Erin Harkes as Dolly Parton, Le Feu Du Coeur, Mister James as Freddie Mac, Miss Lily Amore and special musical guests Ramblin Jug Stompers. 8 & 10pm. $8.

FILM: “Nation” @ the Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. It’s theater on film as the Spectrum hosts a screening of London’s National Theatre production of “Nation,” based on Terry Pratchett‘s fantasy-adventure story and directed by Mark Ravenhill. 7pm. $15; children 12 and under $12.

ART/TALK: Carroll Dunham @ UAlbany University Art Museum, Albany. In conjunction with the current exhibition, “Carroll Dunham Prints: A Survey,” printmaker Dunham delivers the first of the semester’s Arts + Culture Talks. 7pm. Free.

FILM/DISCUSSION: “Day Night Day Night” @ the Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy. A gripping tale of a 19-year-old woman who prepares to become a suicide bomber in Times Square. Director Julia Loktev will be on hand to discuss her film. 7pm. $10; students/low income $5.

FILM: “Annie Hall” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Woody Allen at his neurotic best. Funniest, too. 7pm. $5; children $3.
