Co-founding member Phil Alvin leads roots-rockin’ pioneers the Blasters into Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany on Friday night for what’s sure to be a sweaty, butt-shakin’, brew-drinkin’ dance party. Rock ‘n’ roll, country, blues, rockabilly – the Blasters take it all, stir it up and pour it out as one heady but sizzling genre that they call simply “American Music.”

For more than three decades now, the Blasters have been blasting out their straight-ahead, no-frills brand of rockin’ with such evergreen tunes as “Marie, Marie,” “Border Radio,” “I’m Shakin’,” “This Is It” and, of course, their signature “American Music.” Rounding out the band’s current line-up are guitarist Keith Wyatt, drummer Bill Bateman and bassist John Bazz.

Nippertown favorites the Last Conspirators will open the show at 8pm with their own brand of high-energy, politically charged rock & roll, including a sneak peek at some of the tunes from their upcoming sophomore album, slated for release later this month.

Tix are $17, but you’d better hurry…
