Be Here Now: The OpenEnded Group’s “Upending” @ EMPAC

EMPAC is presenting the world premiere of The OpenEnded Group’s “Upending,” a work that transforms photographs into high-definition 3D moving images accompanied by a soundtrack of Morton Feldman’s first String Quartet performed by the renowned FLUX Quartet, tomorrow (Thursday, March 25) at 7pm.

The OpenedEnded Group is a digital arts collective comprised of Marc Downie, Shelley Eshkar and Paul Kaiser. They’ve collaborated in the past with Merce Cunningham and Bill T. Jones. Now they’re showing the results of their EMPAC residency of the past two years with showings on Thursday at 7pm, Friday at 8pm and Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Each performance is followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.

This one looks like it’s not to be missed, and tickets are going fast, so be sure to get yours soon.

Heeeeey, let’s have a ticket giveaway, shall we?

We have a pair of tickets to give away for the final showing on Saturday, March 27 at 2pm. Drop us an email at [email protected] to be entered into the drawing. The winner will be notified on Friday afternoon. Good luck!
