3/30/10: Today’s Tips: Tuesday

MUSIC: Unearth @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. It’s the Atticus Metal Tour, and Mass. hardcore heroes Unearth are sittin’ pretty in the headlining slot. The festivities get underway early tonight with performances by Stick to Your Guns, Veil of Maya, the Ghost Inside, Carnifex and Circle Nine. Doors at 6pm; showtime 6:20pm. $15.

MUSIC: Nick Tymchyn and Drew Mallon @ the Moon & River Cafe, Schenectady. Up-and-comers on the Nippertown music scene are Guilderland High School students Tymchyn on guitar and Mallon on sax. 8pm. Free.

Kind of slim pickings, but why not celebrate Vincent Van Gogh’s birthday today by stopping in at an art gallery or museum this afternoon?

How about a movie tonight? We’re a bit behind on our movie nights, but we’re looking forward to seeing “Greenberg,” “Ghost Writer,” “Chloe” and “The White Ribbon.”
