MUSIC: Emily Smith @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Although still a teenager, the Amsterdam singer-songwriter performs like a veteran, as well she should. She began playing the Caffe’s open mic nights when she was just 12 years old. 7pm. $5.

MUSIC: Ryan Halliwell and Justin Joseph @ the Moon & River Cafe, Schenectady. A pair of up-and-coming singer-songwriters take the stage. 8pm. Free.
