“Ze Wango! Ze Tango!” Northern Lights in Clifton Park will rockin’ to the sounds of Ted “The Motor City Madman” Nugent on Tuesday, June 22 ($25 in advance), as he unleashes “Cat Scratch Fever,” “Stranglehold” and perhaps a few flying arrows, too. Ya never know. We do know, however, that Cake will also be making a Clifton Park tour stop on Monday, September 13 ($37.50). And All That Remains and Fear Factory rumble in on Friday, June 11 ($17 in advance). Cake tix go on sale on Friday; Nugent and All That Remains tix go on sale on Saturday.

And as expected, Bret Michaels’ Roses & Thorns Tour date at Northern Lights has been postponed due to his current health problems. The show was originally slated to take place on Friday, May 21.

No surprise here: The American Idols Live tour – featuring the Top 10 finalists of this season’s competition – will be making a stop at the Times Union Center in Albany on Saturday, July 17. Tix are slated to go on sale to the public on Saturday, May 15.

Veteran jazz pianist-composer Randy Weston will perform an intimate concert at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield at 8pm on Saturday, May 29. He’ll be accompanied by bassist Alex Blake. Tix are $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey land at MASS MoCA in North Adams on Saturday, June 26 – which is unfortunately the same date as the first day of the Freihofer’s Jazz Fest at SPAC.

The Windham Chamber Music Festival welcomes jazz pianist Bill Charlap and his trio to the Windham Civic & Performing Arts Center in Windham at 8pm on Saturday, August 14. Tix are $25; seniors $20; students $5.

Harold Ford and the Cash Band pay tribute to the Man in Black with “The Spirit of Johnny Cash” at The Linda in Albany on Friday, June 4. Tix are $20.

Lee Harvey Osmond have been added to the bill, opening for Cowboy Junkies at Revolution Hall in Troy on Friday, May 7.
The Duke and the King have been added as the opening act for the Carolina Chocolate Drops at MASS MoCA in North Adams on Saturday, May 29.
Singer-songwriter Jason Collett – also a member of the acclaimed Canadian music collection the Broken Social Scene – has snagged the opening slot for Tift Merritt at The Linda in Albany on Friday, June 11.
Also at The Linda, some local music love. Eric Margan opens for Mark Erelli on Friday, May 14, while Erin Harkes opens for Cassidy on Saturday, June 12.
