ARTIST TALK: Dawn Clements @ UAlbany’s University Art Museum, Albany. Artist and UAlbany alum – whose work was included in this year’s Whitney Biennial – discusses her art work. 7pm. Free.

MUSIC: Keith Pray’s Big Soul Ensemble @ Tess’ Lark Tavern, Albany. The 17-piece big band returns to jazz up Tess’ for their monthly residency gig. (Check out recent video here.) 9pm. Free.

MUSIC: The Slow Death @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. Minneapolis punk foursome formerly known as Pretty Boy Thorson rolls into town, sharing the stage with Killerados, the Slaughterhouse Chorus, Midnight Saints, Slackjaw. 8pm.
