Phantogram Gets the Love
Phantogram is getting the mainstream love. BIG TIME. USA Today has just featured the delicious Spa City duo as one of the “five buzz bands to see live this summer,” along with Janelle Monae, Dr. Dog, Mumford & Sons and the Temper Trap.
But of course, hometown Nippertown fans won’t have to wait til summertime to catch Josh and Sarah in the spotlight – Phantogram plays its first headlining show at Northern Lights in Clifton Park on Saturday night. Light Pollution opens the show. Showtime is 9pm Saturday. Tix are $10 in advance; $12 at the door.
And don’t worry, about them getting toooo mainstream. Phantogram is still getting plenty of blog love, too – like the fresh, fab report from Brooklyn Vegan on Wednesday night’s show at the Bowery Ballroom. (Opening act Railbird gets more than just a shout-out, too.)
Here’s Sebastien Barre’s video of Phantogram performing “When I’m Small” when they opened for Minus the Bear at Northern Lights in Clifton Park back in February, and you can see more of his photos from that show here.
