Festival Fever: ABL Bluegrass Roundup, 6/4-6/10

The Adirondack Bluegrass League’s annual Bluegrass Roundup takes over McConchie’s Heritage Acres in Galway this weekend with plenty of pickin’ and singin’ and grinnin’.

Festivities get underway on Thursday evening with plenty of informal fun, including a chili party, the band scramble and plenty of field pickin’.

Friday’s line-up of performers includes Corey Zink & T. Shaun Batho, Fairview Avenue, Special Creek, Cliff Down & the Barn Pickers and the String Dusters.

On Saturday, the featured musicians include the Washington County Line, Cedar Ridge, Burdo’s Space, the Evans Family Band, the Riverview Ramblers, the BOB Band, the Flood Road Boys, the Warren County Ramblers, Out Of The Valley, Sweet Cider, Stoned on Bluegrass, the Siver Family and Bleecker Mountain Folk.

And wrapping up the festival on Sunday will be the Bluebillies, Truegrass, Springwater, Out Of The Bluegrass and Buck Mountain Bluegrass.

Daily ticket prices are: Thursday $5; Friday $11; Saturday $19; Sunday $5. Children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by parents. A weekend ticket – including two nights of rough camping – is $31.
