Philadelphia psychedelic pop-rockers Dr. Dog will not be playing at Mountain Jam in Hunter today as originally scheduled. The band was slated for a 5:30pm slot on the West Stage.

The problem seems to be an unspecified illness that has hospitalized bandmember Zach Miller.

On their website, Dr. Dog declares, “Zach spent most of yesterday in the hospital with a medical issue. We had hoped that he’d begin feeling better as the day went by and that didn’t end up happening. The good news is that Zach is going to be just fine… we’re just not quite sure how long it will take until he can play a show again.”

This is the second scheduling shake-up at Mountain Jam. Simone Felice underwent emergency open-heart surgery at Albany Medical Center on Thursday, forcing the cancellation of Saturday performances by Felice as well as his band, the Duke & the King. Felice is also a former member of the Felice Brothers, who are performing at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center tonight and Saturday, as the opening act for the Dave Matthews Band.

Dr. Dog may perform at Mountain Jam on Saturday, depending on Miller’s recovery.
