Festival Fever: Capital Pride Festival in Washington Park, 6/13/10

We still haven’t been able to get a full schedule for the fest from the folks at the Capital District Gay & Lesbian Community Council. But here’s what we know so far.

As usual, the Capital Pride Parade will kick off the fest at 12noon on Sunday beginning on the north side of Washington Park near the intersection of State St. and Sprague Place. The parade will procede east on State St., south on Lark St., west on Madison Ave. and back into the park at New Scotland Ave.

The musical portion of the Capital Pride Festival will begin at the conclusion of the parade and will include performances by the Big Apple Corps, Vesper (winners of last month’s SPAC Battle of the Bands), Erin Harkes, Taina Asili y La Banda Rebelde and ’80s dance-pop hitmaker Shannon.

And according to the latest schedule draft, headliner Taylor Dayne is slated to hit the stage at approximately 3:30pm.

Admission is free.
