Call For Entries: First Night Saratoga

Saratoga Arts has taken over the responsibility of putting together First Night Saratoga and it looks like they’re wasting no time in increasing its status as the most interesting thing to do on New Years Eve in all of Nippertown. They’re seeking artists to participate in this year’s event on December 31st:

We are looking for musicians of every genre to fill our venues with an array of sounds from the traditional to the cutting edge. We’re striving to present an entertaining and eclectic mix that will delight, inspire and enlighten music lovers of every stripe. Classical, country, rock, roots, world music, alternative and beyond – we welcome both established and emerging artists.

Dance, comedy, theater and performance artists are also encouraged to participate. Works of originality, imagination and expression will be showcased. Those who attended in the past have shown particular interest in interactive art activities. We are seeking proposals for fun and thought-provoking participatory arts projects that can engage hundreds of participants throughout the evening. Ephemeral art installations, arts and crafts items, or other ideas that will not involve extraordinary production costs are most favorable. Think out of the box and impress us with your creativity!
