ArtBeat: Selections from the Cultural Corridor V @ Storefront Artists Project, Pittsfield
Selections From The Cultural Corridor V, the current show at the Storefront Artist Project in Pittsfield, winds up this Sunday, and it looks like a not-to-be-missed exhibition.
In 2006 Peter Dudek, then Director of the Storefront Artist Project, branded the area between Beacon, NY and Bennington, VT the “Cultural Corridor”, with Berkshire County as the gravitational center.
This corridor is home to a large and diverse artist population along with an abundance of prominent cultural institutions. The annual Selections from the Cultural Corridor V exhibition presents a sampling of artists who work, live, and otherwise have connections to the area. The Storefront Artist Project, as the presenter of this exhibition, continues in its role of providing an outlet for contemporary art presented in a casual and accessible setting.
This 5th installment of the Cultural Corridor exhibition features the work of 7 regional artists:
Joshua Field, North Adams MA
Lisa Desrosiers, Pittsfield MA
Jessica Hess, San Francisco CA
Holly Lynton, Leverett MA
Michael Oatman, Troy NY
Jennifer Reeves, Callicoon NY
David Ricci, Lee MA
The exhibition closes Sunday, June 27.
