ArtBeat: Pittsfield Art Show and Open Studios, Pittsfield
It’s back! The Sixth Annual Pittsfield Art Show takes over downtown Pittsfield this weekend, with 72 artists from Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, Maine and North Carolina displaying their work for the two day sale and exhibit under tents next to the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts. A juried fine art and crafts outdoor show, the exhibit will feature artists working in painting, fine art photography, printmaking, hand-made jewelry, ceramics, wood, sculpture, glass, collage and fabric art.
Also slated is Open Studios and Galleries on Saturday, July 17 from 4-7pm, giving you a chance to tour galleries, museums and the studios of more than 20 artists working on or near North Street. Maps are available at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts and the Storefront Artist Project, as well as downtown retail locations.
This weekend is also your last chance to check out the Pittsfield Art Show Invitational 2010 at the Lichtenstein’s gallery. The month-long gallery exhibition highlights 13 artists from this weekend’s outdoor show.
