Festival Fever: Bethel Woods Bluegrass Jamboree, 8/22/10
But every once in a while a show pops up on their slate that’s well worth the drive on a nice summer day. Like this one…
The Bethel Woods Bluegrass Jamboree lands at the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival on Sunday (August 22) with a solid line-up of pickers and singers, headlined by the ole grand master himself, Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys.
The fest also features performances by the Travelin’ McCourys with Dan Tyminski (of Alison Krauss & Union Station), Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, Cherryholmes and the Kurpil Family Fiddlers.
The gates open at 2pm on Sunday with the first band scheduled to hit the stage at 3pm. The fest is slated to end at about 9pm.
Reserved seats are $19 and $39, while lawn tix are $15.
