Best Albums of the Year: Mojo Magazine

  1. Andy M. says

I like the Mumford & Sons album but it’s technically a 2009 release. This is why it was omitted from MY list.

  2. Jack Track says

Tallest Man on Earth strikes again this year. Doesn’t he have some connection to the Nippertown area?

  3. Greg says

Don’t know if you’d call it a Nippertown connection, but the Tallest Man on Earth did play in Albany back in June, ’08. He played in the beer tent with Ramblin Jug Stompers during Washington Park’s one and only LobsterPalooza fest. It was a gas…

  4. Jack Track says

Looks like he played up in Saratoga as well, maybe it was the night after? I found some video clips of him at the Parting Glass with Knotworking. One of the comment trails tells of some local guy acting as his sponsor. It hints that the Lobster show you refer to might have been his very first USA gig? Erect a plaque!

I caught him in Milwaukee with Bon Iver. He’s a f’ing monster. Would love to see him return back here for a show.

Also, your site is great; it provides a great community gathering place for us dwindling lovers of good music. Bravo.
