MUSIC: Capital Underground Live @ Savannah’s, Albany. Ralph Renna not only hosts the weekly bash, but this time around, he’s also at the microphone fronting Black John Wayne. With Ironweed and Cletus. 8pm. FREE.

READING: Poetry Open Mic Night @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. With featured poet Jason Crane. Sign up at 7pm; readings begin at 7:30pm.

MUSIC: Jam for Carlos @ McGeary’s, Albany. A benefit concert for Albany musician Carlos Gotay, who lost his home to a fire last month. Featured musicians include Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra, Mundo Nuevo and Sensemaya. 6pm.

    Greg Haymes founded Nippertown, along with his wife Sara Ayers, in 2009. Greg was a musician, journalist, and ambassador to the Capital Region arts community. Greg passed in April of 2019, but his legacy continues.
