Info for Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival II @ MASS MoCA

Solid Sound II
After the fabulous success of Wilco’s three-day Solid Sound Festival last August at MASS MoCA in North Adams, there was really only one question to ask.

How can they possibly top that?

The answer is Solid Sound II, which is heading back to MASS MoCA from Friday, June 24-Sunday, June 26.

Festival organizers haven’t announced the line-up of performers yet, but they did divulge some new information today.

This year’s festival will feature:
Two headline concerts by Wilco
A comedy cabaret hosted by John Hodgman
A Solid Ground tent site for nearby camping
A Euclid Records pop-up store
A wide array of all-ages programming
And much more

Tix will go on sale at 11am on Friday, Jan. 21 through the festival’s official website, through the MASS MoCA box office and through MASS MoCA’s website.

3-Day Pass
“Early Worm” Price = $99.50 (limited quantity available)
Regular = $124.50

Single-Day “Early Worm”
Friday = $65
Saturday = $78
Sunday = $65

There are a limited number of single-day tickets available at special “early worm” pricing. Should any of these allotments sell out, there’s no guarantee more will become available.

Children 6 & under are free at Solid Sound. As a special offer this year, weekend festival passes for kids ages 7-10 are $50 and ONLY AVAILABLE at the Solid Sound Box Office, starting Friday, June 24. They will be available throughout the entire weekend.

Last year’s Solid Sound Fest was a smorgasbord of genre-crossing musical styles that ranged from the dense post-rock skronk of the Nels Cline Singers to the raging soul of Mavis Staples to the litling a cappella folk of Mountain Man. You can find last year’s complete line-up here.
