THEATER: Shen Yun Performing Arts @ Proctors, Schenectady. A high-energy, colorful spectacle that combines the grandeur of classical Chinese music and dance into a major pageant inspired by myths, legends and cultural traditions. 8pm. $60, $80, $125, $130 & $150.

ART OPENING: “PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death and God” @ UAlbany’s Performing Arts Center, Albany. It’s the opening day of the touring exhibit of mail art confessions. FREE. (Through Friday, February 11)

MUSIC: The George Muscatello Trio @ Quintessence, Albany. One of Nippertown’s finest – and certainly most adventurous – jazz guitarist. 8pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Reasons 2 Run @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The East Greenbush pop-punksters hit the stage after being postponed due to last week’s snowstorm. 7pm. $5.

COMEDY: Laughs on Lark @ Elda’s on Lark, Albany. Hosted by Matt Kelly and Jaye McBride, the monthly comedy showcase features stand-up by Dan Rossi, Dave Dunn, Mike Cardone and Tony Jackson. 9pm. $5.
