The celebrated 22-year-old Hungarian concert pianist Janos Balazs will be making his North American debut at the College of Saint Rose’s Massry Center in Albany at 7:30pm on Friday.

Balazs’ repertoire will feature compositions drawn from his love for the passionate delicacy of Frederic Chopin and the thunderous virtuosity of fellow countryman Franz Liszt.

A graduate of the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest and the youngest winner of the 2005 International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Pécs, Balazs has been dazzling audiences throughout Europe with his prodigious talent since he was in his teens.

Balázs has performed at festivals and concert halls in the Czech Republic, Munich, London, Bucharest, Paris, Vienna and Kyoto. And after Friday night, he can add Albany to the list, too.

Tix are priced at $20.
