Hot on the heels of the major-label debut, “Kiss Each Other Clean,” Iron & Wine – the musical moniker of prolific singer-songwriter Sam Beam – rolls into MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center in North Adams at 8pm on Saturday, April 16. Tix are priced at $25.

The Glens Falls Civic Center welcomes the Red Hot Chili Pipers at 8pm on Tuesday, March 15. No, that’s not a typo. The Red Hot Chili Pipers are a UK band that plays what they call “bagrock.” Yeah, you guessed it – bagpipes. The Glens Falls show is part of a U.S. mini tour in support of the band’s latest album, “Music For the Kilted Generation,” which finds the band dipping into the songbags of Snow Patrol, Deep Purple, Robbie Williams, Queen and others. Tix go on sale at 10am on Friday, starting at $27.

The Egg in Albany welcomes Harold Ford & the Cash Band at 8pm on Saturday, February 26 in celebration of the 79th anniversary of the birth of American music great Johnny Cash. With Sten Isachsen on lead guitar and Laura Lucy as June Carter Cash. Tix are $28.

Also at The Egg, funnyman Gabriel Iglesias brings his Fluffy Shop Tour to town at 7pm on Friday, March 11 for an evening of stand-up comedy. Tix are $37.25.

Hip-hop crew Dipset – featuring Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey – pass the mic around on stage at Northern Lights in Clifton Park at 9pm on Friday, March 25. Advance tix go on sale on Friday for $35. Also going on sale at Friday are tix for Mimosa, who grabs the NL spotlight at 8pm on Sunday, April 3. Tix are $15 in advance; $17 at the door. Meanwhile, Danish metal band Volbeat is slated to roar into NL at 8pm on Saturday, April 23, with Hourcast opening the show. Priced at $18 in advance, tix go on sale to the general public on Saturday.

Singer-songwriter Rachel Yamagata is gearing up for a three-week “In the Woods” residency in March at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock. Yamagata will be performing at 8pm on three consecutive Wednesday evenings – March 16, 23 & 30. All tix are general admission; priced at $15. Also new on the Bearsville calendar: Reid Genauer leads Assembly of Dust at 8pm on Thursday, March 31. Tix are $20.

The Ball and Chain Revue takes over Club Helsinki Hudson in Hudson on Saturday, February 12, featuring the Jack Grace Band, Vicious Country, Popa Chubby & Galea and the Five Points Band.

Ch-ch-ch-changes: Pakistani stand-up comic Kumail Nanjiani was slated to step into the spotlight at MASS MoCA in North Adams on Saturday evening, but he has cancelled his performance. Fortunately, comedian Rory Scovel has stepped up to fill in the date. Scovel’s performance starts at 8pm on Saturday, and tix are priced at $12 in advance; $16 at the door; students $10.
