Ah, yes, one of the true comedy film classics is coming to the big screen at the Palace Theatre in Albany for one night only on Monday, March 21. The 1975 movie “Monty Python & the Holy Grail” marked the original film debut of the zany British comedy troupe Monty Python, and today – more than 35 years after its release – it’s still one of the most hilarious and surreal feature films ever made.
In conjunction with the screening, the Palace is also hosting a costume contest, so decked yourself out in your best “Holy Grail”-inspired costume and win prizes.
The Palace Theatre in Albany is screening “Monty Python & the Holy Grail” at 7pm on Monday. Tix are $5; children 14 and under $3.
BUT WAIT… We’re giving away a pair of FREE TIX to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The winners will be selected at random and notified on Monday. Good luck! Congratulations, Bob Rosinsky!

A touchstone film of youth, with many life lessons.

If fate doth deem to bestow free tickets upon me, I shall pay homage to the royal comedy by imbibing of a tall (non-holy) grail, gloriously fill[ed] with Coca Cola.
