ARTS WALK: Art Night Schenectady @ various locations, Schenectady. Visual art, music, fun and more all around town. 5-9pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Taína Asili & Gaetano Vaccaro @ Russell Sage College’s Bush Memorial Hall, Troy. Caffe Lena On the Road presents an evening of flamenco and Latin folk music by Puerto Rican vocalist Taína Asili and Sicilian guitarist Gaetano Vaccaro, two members of the politically charged, high-energy band Taína Asili y La Banda Rebelde. 7:30pm. $10.

MUSIC: Dan Navarro @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Remember the fab folk-pop duo Lowen & Navarro? Well, Eric Lowen has retired from the road, but Navarro carries on as a solo. 8pm. $15 in advance; $17 at the door.

DANCE: The Russian National Ballet Theatre @ The Egg, Albany. Performing the recently discovered Romeo & Juliet ballet by Tchaikovsky, as well as Les Sylphides “Chopiniana.” 8pm. $30; seniors $26; children $15. With a pre-performance talk at 7:15pm.

MUSIC: Bella’s Bartok @ Club Helsinki Hudson, Hudson. Ten-piece Bohemian folk-punk extravaganza. 9pm. $12.

MUSIC: Skeletons in the Piano @ Putnam Den, Saratoga Springs. Expect the unexpected. With Severe Severe, Cosmonauts and Party Boat. 10pm. $7.

FILM: “Kakushi-Toride No San-Akunin (The Hidden Fortress)” @ UAlbany’s Page Hall, Albany. The 1958 comic samurai epic from master filmmaker Akira Kurosawa about two bumbling misfits, a battered warlord and a mute young girl on a quest for treasure. George Lucas has acknowledged the film as a primary influence in the creation of “Star Wars.” 7:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Searson @ the Van Dyck, Schenectady. The Canadian Celtic-pop vocal-instrumental-dancing group fronted by three sisters – pianist-vocalist-mandolinist-step dancer Erin Searson, bassist-step dancer Heather Searson and fiddler-vocalist-step dancer Colleen Searson (as well as drummer Mary Gellner) – keep the St. Patrick’s Day spirit going into overtime. 8pm. $15 in advance; $19 at the door.

MUSIC: Michael Benedict Jazz Vibes @ 9 Maple Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Good vibes from Benedict with support from guitarist Mark Capon, bassist Mike Parker and drummer Mark Foster. 9pm.

COMEDY: The Irish Comedy Tour @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. A trio of comedians – Detroit’s Derek Richards, Boston-born Mike McCarthy and Dublin’s own Keith Aherne – brings the party atmosphere of an Irish pub to the Colonial. 8pm. $25.

MUSIC: The Donna Jean Godchaux Band @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. The former Grateful Dead singer fronts her own band, which includes guitarist Jeff Mattson of Dark Star Orchestra. The Deadbeats open the show. 9pm. $20.

FILM: “The Woodmans” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. C. Scott Willis has directed an unflinching portrait of the late photographer Francesca Woodman, told through the young artist’s work (including experimental videos and journal entries) and remarkably candid interviews with her artist parents, Betty and Charles (a ceramic sculptor and painter/photographer), who have continued their own artistic practices while watching Francesca’s professional reputation eclipse their own. 5:30pm. $7; students $5.
