The Name Game

Clifton Park thrashers Necrosis recently underwent a name-ectomy and emerged with their shiny new moniker – How the World Ends, which they will be wearing proudly at Dublin’s in Troy on Saturday when they share the stage with Death Toll and Alchemy of Time. Show starts at 8pm; admission is $5.

But they’re not the only Nippertown band sporting a fancy new name this weekend…

The six-piece horn-fueled funkateers Duchess & the Afro Dub Rebels have also changed things up. The band is now known as Oobleck, and you can decide for yourself how well the new name fits ’em when they take the stage at Savannah’s in Albany at 9pm on Friday. Sharing the bill will be Chinatown Lights and Dance Cancer. Admission is $5.
