Happy Birthday, Hag!

Way back when my band was doing a three-or-four-month stint at Disney World in Florida, I went to one of those tourista t-shirt places and had ’em print up a custom-made shirt for me that stated in simple block letters across the chest: “MERLE HAGGARD IS GOD.”

Sure wish I still had that shirt. I’d be proud to wear it today, Hag’s 74th birthday…
