MUSIC: The Kennedys @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The fab husband-and-wife folk-rockers Pete & Maura Kennedy serve up some shimmering guitar work and stellar harmonies. 8pm. $15 in advance; $17 at the door.
MUSIC: Public Noise Concern @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. It’s a release party for PNC’s seven-inch, vinyl, three-song EP, “Yesterday’s Trash,” on When’s Lunch Records. Joining in the festivities will be the Black Tie Operation, Society High, Heroes & Martyrs and Nine Votes Short. 8pm. $7.
ART RECEPTION: Open Studios @ Remsen Street Studios, Cohoes. Featuring the work of Robert Gullie, Jon Gernon, Erik Laffer & Brian Murray, with a Wine tasting provided courtesy the Harmony House Market Place. 6-9pm. FREE.
MUSIC: Dead Prez and Dan Deacon @ Skidmore College’s Williamson Sports Center, Saratoga Springs. A dynamic double-bill, as the hip-hop duo meets the Baltimore electronic music maniac. 8pm. $15.
MUSIC: Deluka @ The Egg, Albany. The British electro-rock quartet plays a special benefit for the American Diabetes Association and the Japanese Red Cross. 7pm. $20; students $15.
MUSIC: The Ryan Montbleau Band @ Putnam Den, Saratoga Springs. The fast-rising pop-rocker returns to town in support of his latest album, “Heavy on the Vine.” A recent line-up change will introduce new guitarist Lyle Brewer (of Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles).
