Festival Fever: Strawberry Jam Music Festival, 5/12-15/11

If last weekend’s Albany Tulip Fest merely whetted your appetite for the onslaught of outdoor music fests, well then, the place to be this weekend is the Solid Rock Ranch in Northville, where you can groove at the Strawberry Jam Music Festival, a four-day benefit bash to help raise funds for two charities: Strangers Helping Strangers and the Rock Solid Ranch Horse Rescue Mission.

Actually, the fest gets a jump on the weekend, starting up tomorrow (Thursday) with a pre-fest party featuring Hannah’s Field (5pm), Kevin MacConkey (6:30pm), THC (8pm), Reggae Resistance with Annette & George (9:30pm) and Family Dawgz (11pm).

Among the many bands performing at the fest through Sunday are Melvin Seals & JGB, Myka 9 & DJ Drez, Lucid, the Big Takeover, Family Dawgs, NY Funk Exchange, Capital Zen, WeMustBe, Cubical Sunrise, Audio in Flux, Rev Tor, the Garcia Project, Dirty Paris, Maaze, Bad Princess, Sweet Clementines, Seed, the Townies, Hannah’s Field, LadyDye, Positive Mental Trip, Whiskey Reverb and many more. Four-day, all-fest tix are $70. No single-day tix will be sold for Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Weekend tix (Saturday & Sunday) are available for $60, and single-day Sunday tix are $25.
