Real Good for Free: The Tang Museum @ Skidmore College

The UpBeat on the Roof concert series returns to the Skidmore College campus in Saratoga Springs once again this summer. And there’s plenty of truth-in-advertising in the series’ title – the free, outdoor concerts actually take place on the roof of Skidmore’s Tang Museum. In case of inclement weather, the performance will move indoors to the museum.

The concerts take place at 7pm on Fridays, showcasing a wide variety of musical styles from jazz to bluegrass, from rockabilly to folk.

Here’s the schedule of bands for the 2011 summer season:

June 10: Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius & Heard
July 1: Sonny & Perley

July 29: Jim Gaudet & the Railroad Boys
