MUSIC: Tom Paxton @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. If you missed him at The Egg last month with Janis Ian, you’ve got another chance. And this time the legend of the ’60s folk scene will have the whole night to himself. 8pm. $35.

THEATER: “Zero Hour” @ Barrington Stage Co.’s Stage 2, Pittsfield. The award-winning one man show written and performed by Jim Brochu that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the comic actor Zero Mostel. 4 & 8pm. $15-$39. Through Sunday, June 5.

MUSIC: Joe Magnarelli & Peter Bernstein @ the Athens Cultural Center, Athens. Planet Arts’ Jazz one2one concert series continues with trumpeter Magnarelli and guitarist Bernstein teaming up together. Pre-performance talk with the musicians at 7pm; music at 8pm. $10.

BOOK FEST: All LIT Up: The Hudson Valley Literary Fest @ the Hudson Opera House, Hudson. A literary magazine and small press book fair featuring hundreds of books and magazines published by regional and national independent literary publishers, all on sale for only $2 an issue and $4 a book. FILM/DISCUSSION: “Not Just a Game: Power, Politics and American Sports” @ Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy. Sports journalist and filmmaker Dave Zirin screens his new documentary, followed by a Q&A session. The evening kicks off with a community potluck barbecue at 6pm.
