Nippertown Recording Report

PHIL CAMP: The former member of the Joe Mama Band has just finished up his solo debut, “Evolution,” featuring 11 original songs that range from a whisper (“The Trip”) to a scream (“Smooth Operator”). Camp celebrates the release of “Evolution” with a performance and party at O’Toole’s in Queensbury at 6pm on Friday (June 3).

CHE GUEVARA T-SHIRT: The forward-thinking indie rock/post-post hardcore trio is throwing a CD release party at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany at 9pm on Friday (June 3). That’s about all we know… With Complicated Shirt and Salon Style. Or is it the Jamboyz and Casa Sleep?

THE REALSIDE:: “Shadows Until Light” – the new 19-song, double-album written by Terry McClain – is available exclusively at his website as uncompressed wav files. Led by vocalist-guitarist McClain – who also co-produced the debut Disposable Rocket Band CD, “Apocalyptic Propulsion Unit” – the acoustic trio also features bassist Chris Neuhaus and percussionist Nate Glass. The band is throwing a free release party at LT’s Grill in Niskayuna from 6-9pm today (Thursday).

THE BRIAN PATNEAUDE QUARTET: The saxman’s Kickstarter project has been 100 percent funded. But of course, you can still get in on some of the incentives being offered. Deadline for pledges is Sunday (June 5).
