A record crowd of 4814 participants stream up Madison Avenue at the start of the 33rd annual Freihofer’s Run for Women, ranging in age from under 10 to 91-year old Victoria Michalek of Gloversville.

The race was won by Mamitu Dasks pf Ethiopia with a time of 15:19, 4 seconds ahead of fellow Ethiopian Aheza Kiros who finished second.

Nicole Blood at the Freihofer's Run For Women, 2011
Local phenom and nationally ranked runner Nicole Blood of Altamont finished 16th with a time of 17:05. She was a standout runner in high school when she ran for Saratoga.
