The Egg Adds Four More Shows to Its Fall Calendar
The folks at The Egg in Albany have just bolstered their top-notch autumn concert season with the addition of a fresh quartet of new shows. Here are the newly announced concerts:
GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS: 8pm on Sunday, September 25 in the Hart Theatre. The blues-rock guitar master returns to The Egg with classic tunes such as “Bad to the Bone” and “Move It On Over.” $44.50, $49.50.
MADELEINE PEYROUX. With NELLIE McKAY: 7pm on Sunday, October 2 in the Hart Theatre. Two unique and eclectic vocalists. Peyroux showcases her new recording “Standing on the Rooftop,” while pianist-ukulele player-vocalist McKay spotlights her latest album, “Home Sweet Mobile Home,” as well as her Doris Day tribute. $24.50, $29.50, $34.50.
DAVID SANBORN. With JOEY DeFRANCESCO: 8pm on Saturday, October 22 in the Swyer Theatre. The veteran alto sax master David Sanborn is joined on stage by organ master Joey DeFrancesco for an evening of contemporary jazz. $34.50.
SHAWN COLVIN: 8pm on Friday, November 11 in the Swyer Theatre. An intimate solo performance by the three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter. $34.50.
Tickets are currently on sale to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 17.
