Be Here Now: Rollie Fingers @ Bearsville Theater, 7/21/11

Baseball Hall of Famer, World Series three-peat champion and one of the all-time great relief pitchers, Rollie Fingers is slated to make a stop at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock on Thursday evening for Miss Angie’s Baseball Karaoke Night.
The festivities will kick-off at 7pm with a two-hour Wii Home Run Derby, in which adults and Little Leaguers alike are invited to compete for a trophy autographed by Fingers.
Then at 9pm, Miss Angie will kick-off her weekly karaoke session.
Admission is free, although donations are welcome (and 100% of all donations will benefit the Woodstock Little League).
Meanwhile, we’d like to suggest a few songs that karaoke singers might take a stab at in Rollie Fingers’ honor:
“The Star Spangled Banner”
“Take Me Out to the Ball Game”
“Baseball” by Michael Franks
“Glory Days” by Bruce Springsteen
“Talkin’ Baseball” by Terry Cashman
“The Greatest” by Kenny Rogers
“The Ball Game” by Sister Wynona Carr
“(Love Is Like a) Baseball Game” by the Intruders
“Beat On the Brat (With a Baseball Bat)” by the Ramones
“Mustache Man” by Cake
and pretty much anything by the Baseball Project (who will be rockin’ the Bearsville Theater on Wednesday, August 24)
