Real Good For Free: Outdoor Films @ the Shirt Factory, Glens Falls

The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls is hosting a series of pop-up movie screenings on Friday evenings all summer long. An initiative of Art in the Public Eye, the films are projected on a large, inflatable movie screen on the lawn at the Shirt Factory.

This week’s film is the fabulous documentary (or is it?) “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” allegedly directed by guerilla artist Banksy, which examines the world of street artists and their intersection with the fine art world. It’s fascinating. It’s hilarious. And it might even be true. The film also earned an Academy Award nomination.

The movie begins at dusk. Bring lawn seating. Enjoy snacks and tea. And pick up a new Shirt Factory t-shirt, made by Matt Berkheimer.
